Headstart - on the Road to Adoption 

K-9 Studio, in partnership with the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society has graduated its first 4 dogs - Spanky, Sammy, Caesar and Maverick in their basic obedience clicker class called "Headstart". To see the difference in these four boys within 5 weeks, was incredible. 

The purpose of having this class was to develop a trusting relationship between the dogs and people. They were trained on Premier Easy Walk Harnesses, and rewarded for all positive responses they provided their handlers. Staff and volunteers of TBDHS were their handlers, and their instructor was our clicker guru Carolyn Homonko. To watch these dogs offer behaviours with great pleasure - to see how responsive and respectful they had become was so rewarding. 

Each one of these dogs is waiting for their forever home, and hope that they can show off what they have learned and what great family additions they would be.
