Emmy - Pekingese

Due to the generosity and mentoring of Barbara Melless of Rodari Pekingese, I had the good fortune of aquiring on a co-ownership Rodari Mein Liebling Edition “Libby”. A repeat breeding of the famed Canadian history making Can./Am. Champion Rodari Aces High, Libby was bred to Sercial to produce a second litter of outstanding progeny – Emmy and Topaz (Can./Am. Champion Illions Topaz Crown Prince).

All dogs presently under our roof are descendents of Emmy.

Emmy was an outstanding producer, with 4 champion progeny – 3 being Best Puppy in Show winners and multiple group placers – Can. Champion Illions Dragon Moon Dancer (Luci), Can. Champion Illions Dragon Maidn at Rodari (Dolly - Luci's sister), Can. Champion Illions Do Me A Favour (Favour) and Can. Champion Illions Heiress to the Throne (Hannah).

Emmy was a multi group placer, finishing her championship in grand style with a Group 1st under pekingese authority, breeder and judge Nigel Aubrey-Jones.

In her senior years, she was the matriarch of the household, lounging on her many beds and possessing the newest squeaky toy. She and her brother Topaz had/have a "passion beyond all passions" for squeak toys.

Emmy died with me at her side, in our home. In the last week of her life, she had me cooking her breakfast.
