The origin of the Pekingese is veiled in Oriental mystery and romance. It is believed that the breed is a miniature version of the ancient "Foo Dogs" of China which, because of their terrifying lion-like appearance, were thought to ward off evil spirits. Such dogs appear in Chinese works of art dating to 900 A.D.) and bear a striking resemblance to the present-day Pekingese. The small dogs became favourites of the Chinese Imperial court where they were bred in great numbers but only those within the royal circle were permitted to own one. The dogs were lavishly tended, considered to be bringers of good fortune and possessed of the courage of the lion.

The Belgian Tervuren (Ter-VYUR-en) is a beautiful, intelligent dog that likes challenging activities and nearly constant companionship. Tervurens excel in activities and competitions. They make top-notch therapy or guide dogs for the disabled, and of course they are excellent at their orginal job, herding. The breed is known for its loyalty and protectiveness. Their appearance projects alertness and elegance. Those who own them are completely charmed by their intelligence, trainability, and, perhaps most of all, their sense of humor. They are suited to many kinds of activities.

True was 2nd Top Belgian Sheepdog in Canada for 2005!

True wins the first Award of Merit at the Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of Canada Specialty in Calgary, Alberta in August 2006!!!

What can I say... Already in 2007, True has earned two very important titles - both his Rally O Excellent title (CARO), and his canadian Utility degree becoming an obedience trial champion!!!! In March, he qualified 3 out of 4 trials to earn his UD, also placing first in his class each time. He completed his UD in 6 trials. He was a very, very good boy, and showed his stuff in the ring. In April, he completed his Rally O Excellent title qualifying 2 out of 3 tries. He will be out and about playing here and there enjoying being the social guy he is.
