K-9
Studio has been, and continues to be the leader in introducing new
activities one can do with their dog. In the early 1980s, we started
Flyball. In the late 1980s, we began agility. Most recently, we introduced
Thunder Bay to Rally O, and freestyle! All interactive and fun between you
and your dog!
We
offer an opportunity for interested dog owners to learn how to
train their pets into lifelong compatible companions, in a one class at a
time environment. Classes are offered for all levels of training, from
well behaved pet, to competitive title seeking endeavours. Accumulation of
competitive titles between our instructors easily exceeds hundreds, and
they are continuously striving for more, and of course, enjoying every
step of the way by teaching their dogs to think, and interact with them in
a positive manner. From personal experience, once you have obtained
umpteen tittles, they are not as important any more, but the journey on
the way to their achievement is of the most importance, along with the
kinship of friends.
Classes
are small, allowing for individual attention. Our experienced instructors
have a genuine interest in helping you achieve the most from your dog
through pawsitively fun, motivational methods, but please remember, dogs
do not learn from "osmosis" and YOU, the owner, must dedicate
minutes each day to moulding your pet into a fabulous family mate.
Private
lessons are available. If interested, please inquire.

Agility
offers new challenges to dog and handler and can make the timid dog,
confident. Dogs learn to go through tunnels, scale walls, weave
through poles and other obstacles. Due to the enormity of the
obstacle course, this class is offered throughout the year indoors
and out, depending on the season. Dogs must have attended Level 1
& 2 classes. K-9 Studio is always learning new and motivational
ways of training you and your dog to participate in this sport. We
have sponsored seminars featuring Dan Dege, Gary White to name a
few. Our instructors have traveled to many seminars under noted
"gurus" Peter Lewis, Nancy Gyes, Susan Garrett, Stuart Mah,
Terry Smorch and Wendy Pape to name a few.
